During a private 25-year university reunion, a February blizzard cut off the glen at dusk: the single track was impassable, and the lodge lost mobile signal and its landline. At 07:40 the housekeeper's master fob opened the great hall and found Mr Frayne dead by the hearth. The initial impression was a fall or a cardiac event; Mr Frayne had a documented heart condition. A storm-driven heating outage at 22:31 the previous night had left the hall cold for hours, so early body-temperature estimates were unreliable. The lodge has no cameras in the guest areas, but the smart-lock audit trail and every guest's smartwatch logged the night in detail.
Establish whether Mr Frayne's death was natural, accidental, or unlawful; if unlawful, use the lodge's digital records to fix when he actually died and who could have reached him, eliminate the rest, prove how and why, and name the responsible person with supporting evidence. Each stage is sealed: you will need to prove your reasoning to unlock the next.
