DC Marcus Hale — Economic Crime Unit, Limehouse
Apartment 12B, Pinnacle Tower, Canary Wharf, London E14
Adam Clarke, 36 — tech entrepreneur (theft victim/reporting party)
Adam Clarke reports that a USB hardware wallet holding approximately £1,000,000 in Bitcoin was taken from a locked drawer in his study. There is no sign of forced entry to the flat; the drawer's lock shows fresh, amateurish pick scratches. The theft occurred during or shortly after a dinner party the previous evening attended by five guests. Mr Clarke himself is not excluded.
Establish that this was an inside job, work out who had the opportunity to enter the study during the dinner, follow the money to see who could profit, and prove the route the £1M took. Each stage is sealed — prove your reasoning to unlock the next.
